714,460. Peeling &c. vegetables. LEYLAND, F. May 7, 1953 [May 12, 1952], No. 11902/52. Class 28(2) A tool connected to a rotary head 5 has three vegetable-operating sections 1, 2 and 3, for eye removing, scraping and peeling. Section 1 may be a separate pyramid or only an extension of the rasp-like tapered scraping section 2 which may be a sleeve, push-fitted on a taper at the end of the peeling section 3. Peeling knives projecting only slightly above the cylindrical surface are held by spring knife carriers 3b in each of two slots 3a or are secured to the body by rivets or set screws. The device is fitted to a rotated headstock 5 by a screw or bayonet point.
