713,661. Pressure gauges. TURNER, W. July 31, 1952 [Aug. 1, 1951], No. 18242/51. Class 106 (2) A liquid-filled type pressure gauge comprises a body 11 with a valve depressor-head 12 of known form. Within the body 11 a piston 16 is provided with a cup leather washer 17 and is spring loaded by a coil spring 19 anchored by screw threads on the boss 20 and the piston 16. A separate pressure indicator portion 18 is provided with a second cup leather washer 24 held by a screw 25 and a spring friction device in the form of a split resilient ring 31 in an annular groove 30, to retain the portion 18 in extended pressure indicating position. A knob 26 is provided for manipulating !he portion 18. Apertures 28 are also provided to prevent formation of a vacuum behind the cup leather washer 24.
