Abstract
711,775. Ovens; gas and electric. FLAVEL & CO., Ltd., S. April 11, 1951 [April 11, 1950], No. 8927/50. Classes 39 (3) and 126 In an oven in which the heat sensitive portion of a thermostat is located within the cooking space a heat conductive element is arranged to lie in close proximity thereto. As shown a heat conductive element in the form of a cast iron plate 1 is mounted within the cooking space of an oven in close proximity to the tube R of a thermostat T. The plate is secured to the sheet steel oven roof S by nuts and bolts the feet 3 locating the plate away from the roof so as to leave a space through which hot gases can circulate. The plate is provided with a lug 7 having an aperture 8 in which the end of tube R is a sliding fit the tube being secured in position at its other end by means of a collar 9 mounted in an aperture in the oven wall.
