Class 74 (2) To positively ensure that the yarn carrier is prevented from rebounding when the contact piece 10 of the plate 3 is engaged by the end stop 9 as described in the parent Specification, the notch 103 engaged by the check plunger 27 is modified so as to provide a vertical face 103a for engagement by the side of the check plunger. Further, to permitsubsequent disengagement of the notch by the plunger, each housing 67 is adapted to be additionally moved aside at the commencement of each carrier, traverse. For this purpose, a lever 106 is influenced by a cam 111 carried on the slur bar, one arm of the lever engaging a slot 104 in the housing and moving the housing aside each time the cam engages the lever at the commencement of the carrier traverse. The lever is provided with a spring- loaded plunger 109 so that it rides over the cam 111, when the carriers are nearing the end of their traverse, thereby avoiding moving the end stops out of the path of the carrier plates and ensuring stoppage of the carriers.
