709,247. Centrifugal compressors; gas turbine plant. SZYDLOWSKI, J. April 23, 1952 [May 2, 1951], No. 10253/52. Classes 110(1) and 110(3) Air from a compressed air plant 1 passes through a pipe 3 to a compressor and through a pipe 4 to a turbine 6 whch drives the compressor 5. The flow through the pipes is controlled by a cock 8 which may be actuated manually or automatically. A heat-exchanger 10 may be provided, whereby the air entering the pipe 4 is heated by the exhaust gases of the gas turbine 11 which forms, part of the plant 1. An intercooler may be provided in the pipe 3. The plant 1 is preferably the one described in Specification 697,119.
