Abstract
708,690. Book and loose leaf covers; labels. TRADE LOOSE LEAF CO., Ltd. April 9, 1953 [April 9, 1952], No. 9025/52. Classes 16, 73 and 146(1) In a book, file or loose-leaf binder having means for holding a card or title slip under a transparent window, a part or the whole of the peripheral edge of the transparent window is provided with a roughened surface on at least that face of the window whcih is to be secured to the covering surface of the book. The cardboard or like back 10 of a loose-leaf binder or a book has a material covering 11 and a card 14 is secured under a transparent window 13. The window 13 is provided along its peripheral edges with selfadhesive tape 15 folded thereover. The covering material 11 is slit at 16 to provide a flap 17 and the window 13 lies over the flap 17 with its longitudinal edges 19 and one shorter edge behind the covering material 11 in recesses 18. The remaining shorter edge is uncovered and provides an opening for the card 14 to lie between the flap 17 and window 13, the card preferably having a tab for insertion and removal. The window is secured by adhesive to the material 11 and the tape 15 further acts as a distance-piece to provide a pocket for the card 14.
