Class 108(1) A tank vehicle such as a fire tender is provided with a self-supporting tank 16 secured directly to the chassis longitudinals 10 and having cut-outs 24 for the road-wheels. To the side walls of the tank are secured uprights 22 preferably in the region of the apertured partitions 20, the uprights 22 supporting a load-receiving body the floor of which may be the top of the tank.
