Abstract

703,338. Hydraulic machines. VICKERSARMSTRONGS, Ltd. Sept. 13, 1950 [July 27, 1949], No. 19697/49. Class 69 (2) Flow to the ram 6 is controlled by the distributing valve 7. The valve is moved by hand to initiate a stroke, the ram being reversed at the end of the stroke by the tappet operated valve 10 admitting fluid to space 8 to reverse the valve 7. At the end of the in-stroke tappet operated valve 14 admits fluid behind piston 12 to shift valve 7 to its mid-position. Hand operated valve 17 admits fluid behind piston 16 to lock valve 7.
