Abstract

701,840. Cabinets. HOLLINS & SONS, Ltd., G. Nov. 17, 1952 [Dec. 18, 1951], No. 29638/51. Class 52(1) The centre compartment 12 of a kitchen cabinet has a door 16 hinged along its lower edge so it opens to lie horizontal. A tray 21 slidably mounted on horizontal rails 25 is connected by pivotally mounted rods 27 to the door 16, the arrangement being such that when the door 16 is opened to lie horizontal the tray 21 is drawn forward by the rods 27 so that the contents of the tray are accessible. The door is provided with rearwardly projecting arms 30 which lie under shelves 31 to hold the door in its horizontal position. The upper side 32 of the door 16 is pivotally mounted to provide a lid for a chamber 38 formed by battens 34 surrounding the door.
