[Also in Group XXXIV] In a sealing arrangement for hydraulically or pneumatically operated disc brakes, more especially for motor vehicles, one end of the braking disc 1 is made cup-shaped and the other braking disc 3, guided therein in the manner of a piston for sealing the pressure space 5, is provided with a packing ring 8 arranged in an annular groove 7, and is characterized in that the pressure space 5 is connected with the annular groove 7 by means of bores 9 in such a manner that the packing ring 8 is forced by the pressure obtaining in the pressure space against the sealing cylindrical surface. Carried upon the non- rotating discs 1, 3 are brake linings 2, 4 respectively, which are forced against the rotating brake housing 6. The packing ring 8 is made of a resilient material such as rubber.
