Abstract
700,483. Fencing. WOLSELEY SHEARING CO., Ltd., and MACNAMARA, H. J. July 23, 1952 [Aug, 17, 1951], No. 19400/51. Class 45 A ground post comprises a ground spade 1 provided with an ascending post 4 and a separate depending ground spike 3, the head 6 of the latter serving as an anvil for driving the spike and spade into the ground. The spike 3 is welded to the centre of the spade 1 on one side and the post 4 is welded to the same side of the spade but offset from the spike. Projections 10 on the spade position the spike and post and also help to support them. The head 6 of the spike is bent at right angles and projects over the top of the spade to form the anvil. The post supports an electric insulator 12 as disclosed in Specification 700,479.
