698,747. Escalators. MOERCK, M., and KAMPNAGEL AKT.GES. VORM. NAGEL & KAEMP., [trading as KEHRHALIN KOMMANDIT-GES., F.]. Feb. 27, 1951. [Feb. 27, 1950] No. 4775/51. Class 78 (i). A moving stairway comprising steps i transported by a pair of endless chains m is supported bv interconnected wall members e which are built-up of panels v, w of sheet brass or sheet aluminium and supported through angle sections t, u on beams a, b. Each member e is provided with flanges c, d either integral with the walls or comprising channel beams attached to the walls, whilst inner walls f are rigidly connected with the flanges c. The walls e, f are strengthened by ribs h which support the track rails for the step rollers n and are interconnected by girders k. The endless hand rails are guided on the flanges c and return through apertures r in the ribs h, whilst the chains m are received in recesses u in these ribs. The flanges d are interconnected by a sheet metal panel l.
