Abstract

698,203. Motor mountings. CODELEONCINI, R. J. March 13, 1951 [March 13; 1950], No.5989/61. Class 35. [Also in Group XVI] An electric motor, the stator frame 3 of which is adapted to be fixed at one end by a key 5 to a stationary frame 1 and is carried at its other, reduced, end, by the rotor spindle 6, is contained in a hollow roller 8 which it drives. The roller 8 is supported at one end 9 rotatably by a ball-bearing 11 on the stator frame 3 and at the other end 10 is adapted to be supported rotatably by a projecting part 12 and bearing 13 in a stationary frame 2. The spindle 6 is connected to the end 10 of the roller by a free-wheel device 14, whence the roller can also be manually rotated by a handle 15. A rim 16 of the part 10 of the roller rests by a roller bearing 17 on the stator frame.
