697,519. Face-plates and tables. VOHL, A. Feb. 13, 1952, No. 3791/62. Class 83 (iii). A work-holding attachment for lathes comprises a base-plate to be secured to the lathe face-plate and having a guideway carrying a slide which in turn has another guideway for a slide transverse to the first, the second slide having means for clamping work thereto, and adjusting means for displacing the slides in the guideways. A base-plate a, Fig. 1, is secured to the face-plate and carries guideways c for a slide d adjusted by a screw e and positioned by a vernier g, f. The slide d has guideways for a cross-slide h, also adjusted by a screw i, and having a positioning vernier k, j. The latter slide carries an angle plate l, Fig. 2, for clamping the work thereto.
