Abstract
691,059. Reciprocating pumps. COLLINS, A. F. March 2, 1951 1 [March 8, 1950], No. 5840/50. Addition to 645,310. Class 102 (i). A modification of the liquid-dispensing appara tus according to the parent Specification anc having a dispensing cylinder with a plunger there in carried by a hollow delivery stem, the cylin der being adapted to be inserted in a vessel con taining a bulk supply of the liquid, in which the cylinder 1 has a number of castellations 2 to which is attached a cover 6 carrying a bear ing member 9 for deli very stem. The spaces between the castellations form ports for the liquic to enter the cylinder when the plunger is ir its raised position under the action of the spring 4. The cover is secured by pins 7 that pass through key-hole slots 8 in the cover. Additional guides for the delivery stem may be provided at the upper end of the vessel.
