A wheeled collapsable baby carriage, Figs. 1, 7, comprises a tubular main support 1, a crosspiece 2 provided with rubber beading 31 and castor wheels 3, a telescopic handle 4 pivotally connected to the main support and to the framework 10 by links 101, and a base member 28. A pivotable tray 25 and a bead frame may be provided, and the cross-piece 2 may support a detachable basket. Canvas suspended from the frame 10 is used for the support sides 16 and back 17 but the seat 15 which is attached to the sides and back has a slotted extension 18 and is supported in the front by a stud 20 projecting from a strut 21, which strut is pivotally mounted at 22 and 23 on the main support 1 and the upper frame 10 respectively. The carriage is collapsed, Fig. 8, by releasing a latch 8 and moving the handle towards the front, causing the frame to fold on its pivoted joints. When the carriage is to be used as a buffer-car the handle 4, tray 25, and base member 28 are removed. In a modification, Fig. 3, the main support member 11 is of U-shape, the forward ends of which are connected with the cross-piece 2, a tube 1<2> extending from the base of the U being adapted to take the handle 4. The tube 1<2> may be angularly adjustable to the main support or fixed thereto. In a modified construction two elongations 151 are provided on the seat and are adapted to co-operate with two struts 21<1> supported from the U-shaped main support. A sun canopy or parasol may be fitted to the carriage if desired, and a brake 29 may be provided for the rear wheels.
