Abstract
686,663. Walls. STEINKOGLER, C. A. Sept. 23, 1948 [May 3, 1946], No. 24888/50. Class 20(iv) [Also in Group XV] The walls of a hut are formed of rectangular timbers 1, 2 engaging edgewise by tongues and grooves 4, 3 and at the corners 'by end face tongues 6 engaging vertical grooves 5 on the inner faces near the ends of the timbers, the arrangement of the tongue 6 and groove 5 in each timber layer being staggered or displaced by 90 degrees with respect to that of the adjacent timber layer. The timbers 2 provided with the tongues 6 are of less width than the timbers 1, thus giving a recessed appearance to the outside of the walls and providing heat insulating cavities between the wall and an inner wall lining.
