Abstract

684,215. Cabinets. LIVERSEDGE, J. W. July 18 1951 [April 16, 1951]. No. 8773/51. Class 52(i) [Also in Groups VI and XVII] A cabinet for storing tobacco is divided into two separate compartments 6, 5 by a perforated plate 8, the lower compartment containing absorbent material 7 saturated with liquid, and both compartments are provided with air vents, some or all of which are provided with air regulating means, e.g. hit-and-miss regulators. The absorbent material 7 in a tray 29 is supplied with liquid from a container 20, the supply being controlled by cocks 25. The tobacco is stored in horizontally or vertically arranged trays 34 in the compartment 5 which is closed by a hinged door 27. An electric heater 32, supplied by a battery 44 or from the mains, may be situated below the tray 29 to increase the humidity, and a thermometer and hygrometer may be contained in recesses in the door 27.
