Abstract

1,164,393. Photographic developing apparatus. ARNOLD& RICHTER K.G. Jan.24, 1967 [Feb.15, 1966], No. 3490/ 67. Heading G2A. The housing of a film processing apparatus is divided into two compartments by a vertical partition. One compartment Fig. contains means for unwinding the film from a cartridge 1 and feeding it through the section 3 which comprises a sequence of processing tanks. The other compartment Fig. 2 (not shown) contains a drying cabinet, vacuum means for removing excess liquid from the film while passing from one tank to another, the electrical equipment, and film take-up means. The processing tanks 3 are all accommodated in a constant temperature bath 4, which can be removed from the apparatus, the separate tanks also being individually removable. An access door 7 is provided, which is closed while the apparatus is in use. The drying cabinet (15, Fig.2 not shown) has a series of perforated chambers which direct warm air on to the film as it passes them. Also in this second compartment are the vacuum pump (20), a fan (23) for blowing air through the apparatus, a film take-up disc (26), and the electrical control equipment (24).
