Abstract

683,826. Knitting-machines. WILDMAN MFG. CO. March, 14, 1950. No. 6417/50. Class 74 (ii). The jack and dividing sinkers of a Cotton machine are each operated on by a separate catch bar, the bar operating on the jack sinkers carrying a verge plate and sinker retaining latches. The verge plate 15 is secured in a slot in the bar 13 and retracts the jack sinkers 11 when required. The latches 20 are raised against springs 20g by the advancing sinkers 11 and then press down behind them to force them against the verge plate. The combined vertical and horizontal catch bar movements are supplied by known means. Specification 683,858 and U.S.A. Specifications 1,958,823, and 2,436,171, are referred to.
