Abstract

682,367. Mixing appliances. AKTIEBOLAGET ELEXTROLUX. Feb. 12, 1951, No. 3354/49. Class 86 In a household mixing machine a 'stirring or beating device mounted on a swinging arm 'and disposed within a rotary receptacle comprises a stirring or beating element connected with a driving wheel and having an intermediate wheel . through which the driving wheel derives rotary motion directly from the receptacle. A holder 17, Figs. 3 and 4 is located upon a pin 16 depending from the spring loaded arm 13 and is prevented from rotating thereon by an integral arm 31 upwardly extending to engage the arm 13. The mixing element 27 has an upper sleeve 30 which is a detachable driving fit upon a roller 22 rotatable in the holder 17. A link 25 is pivoted to the holder 17 at 26 and at its free end carries a pair of rigidly connected freely rotatable rollers 20, 21, the arrangement being such that the spring arm 13 urges the roller 20 into functional engagement with the rim of the rotating receptacle 11 and holds the lower roller 21 in frictional engagement with the roller 22 so that the mixing element 27 derives rotation from the rotation of the receptacle 11. In a simplified embodiment, Figs. 5-7, (not shown), a single roller is used in the place of the two rollers 20, 21.
