Abstract

680,763. Boxes. KETTERING CARTONS. Ltd., and HUNT, A. P. May 1, 1950 [May 11, 1949]. No. 12577/49. Class 18 A box for livestock or perishable foodstuffs is formed from a single blank of cardboard cut and creased to provide a bottom 5 along two opposite side edges of which walls 6 completely extend. Walls 11 are upturned from the other two edges of the bottom but extend only along the mid portions, extensions being provided on the walls 11 to provide corner walls 12 and overlapping and interlocking portions 13, the latter being positioned adjacent the inside face of the walls 6. Extensions 21 extend from the top of the walls 6 and have tongues 23 which interengage slots 19 in the walls 11. The walls 12 are of reduced height to provide ventilation gaps when a lid is fitted on the box. Specification 507,925 is referred to.
