Abstract
A printing-ink composition for use on metal foil backed with paper in the manufacture of a composite wrapper, comprises titanium dioxide or a dry colour pigment, nitro-cellulose, refined bleached shellac, tricresyl phosphate, ethyl acetate, ethyl alcohol, toluol and n-butyl acetate. After drying and application of a gloss coating, e.g. of nitrocellulose, a pattern of a heat-activatable adhesive composition, e.g. a mixture of ethyl cellulose, monophenyl di-orthoxenyl phosphate, paraffin wax, toluol and denatured alcohol, is applied to parts of the wrapper. Specifications 635,268 and 675,280, [both in Group XVII], are referred to.
