Abstract
675,647. Mechanical switches held set and freed mechanically. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Jan. 3, 1951. [Jan. 3, 1950] No. 244/51. Class 38 (v). In a slow-make, slow-break rotary switch for A.C. one or more movable contacts 13a are mounted on blade spring! 13 of double reflexed form The contacts are selectively pressed into engagement with fixed contacts 11a by rotatior of a cam 15 on a shaft 16a. The arrangement forms a shallow wafer unit and two or more' wafer units may be stacked one above the other so as to be operated by the same shaft 16a. If desired some of the fixed contacts of the same or different units may be connected by a strap such as 24. The shaft may be provided with positioning means, Fig. 2 (not shown) to determine each switch position and provision is made for "one-hole" or flush mounting.
