Abstract

674,863. Spray-producers. DEODANT, Ltd. Dec. 14, 1949 [Dec. 14, 1948], No. 32242/48. Class 69 (iii). In an atomiser in which a disinfectant &c. is sprayed by a jet of air from a compressor constituted by a cylinder 1 and piston 6 with associated rod 5, upon pulling a lavatory chain or opening a door, the piston rod 5 is made tubular to form a reservoir for the disinfectant. The piston is fitted with an air tube 8 which extends axially through the rod 5, the latter also locating a disinfectant uptake tube 12 which is soldered to the piston cap 9 and projects into the large base aperture 14 of a nozzle 11 mounted on said cap 9. A return coil spring 17 is disposed around the piston rod 5 between the piston 6 and the upper closing ring 4 of the cylinder 1.
