Abstract
674,725. Undergarments. MORLEY, Ltd., 1. & R., and TAGG, F. C. May 10, 1950 [Feb. 26, 1949], No. 5275/49. Addition to 585,712. Class 141. Men's under - pants as described in the parent Specification are made leg less and comprise a bacl portion A and a front por tion B joined at the sides together with a double crotch portion consisting of an outer crotch piece D at tached to the lower edge of the back portion, extending up to the waistband H in front and attached to the front portion along the whole of one edge at E and part of the other at F to leave an opening FG, and an inner crotch piece C similarly attached to the back portion and either disposed under the outer crotch piece and similarly attached to the front portion, as shown, or connected to the lower edge of the front portion. The crotch portion may be secured to a downward extension A<SP>1</SP> of the back portion and the inner crotch piece C may terminate just below the waistband in front. The central part B<SP>1</SP> of the lower front edge may be left free and the leg openings may have welts J, K with elastic on the outer side of the legs. In a modification, the front portion B is formed in two parts overlapping at the centre, the inner crotch piece being joined to the lower front edge of the outer overlapping part whilst the outer crotch piece is secured to the overlapping front portions so as to leave an opening at one side.
