Abstract
A synthetic resin composition comprises a thermoplastic resin, particularly polystyrene, a ceramic material, which may be alumina or a mixture of tri-calcium penta-aluminate and silica, and oils vaporizing in sequence at temperatures below that at which the resin can be removed by heating. A preferred composition contains polystyrene, an oil vaporizing at 300-375 DEG F. and an oil vaporizing at 125 DEG to 300 DEG F. The higher vaporizing oil is preferably hydrogenated peanut oil. The composition is utilized in a process for moulding ceramics (see Group V).
