669,644. Joining boards. SVENSKA CELLULOSA AKTIEBOLAGET. Dec. 29, 1948 [Dec. 30, 1947], No. 33451/48. Class 145 (ii). [Also in Groups VIII and XI] Thin board-like objects such as veneer boards to be glued or welded in edgewise relation are pressed against each other by a press having members 2, 3 urged together by magnets 8, 9 and armatures 10, 11; member 3 carrying contact rollers 13 and each member carrying rolls 4, 5 arranged obliquely to urge together the' abutting faces of the objects to be joined. Rolls 4 may be mechanically driven. The magnets are preferably electromagnets. Electrodes 7 set up an H.F. field to harden the glue on the joint.
