667,287. Pipe joints. KING, G. R. Feb. 7, 1950 [Feb. 17, 1949], No. 4367/49. Class 99 (i) In a joint in which a nipple 15 on a pipe 11 is held on a conical seat in the coupling- member 17 by an internally flanged nut 14, the nut flange engages a flange 12 on a sleeve 10 which engages the nipple and extends through the nut, the sleeve having a wrenchengaging portion 18 so. that it may be held whilst the nut is . screwed up. The hexagonal head 18 is welded on to the sleeve after the parts are assembled. Alternatively the sleeve may have a hole for engagement by a hook spanner.
