663,478. Collapsable furniture. RUSSELL, A. H. May 18, 1950. [May 18, 1949] No. 13204/49. Class 52 (iii). A folding seat has two legs 2, 4 hinged together at their inner edges to open out in alignment or to fold with the outer face of one leg lying over the outer face of the other leg, a third leg 3 hinged to the inner side of leg 2 to fold flat thereagainst or to open out at right angles thereto and a seat member 1 hinged to the third leg 3 so as to fold flat on to it or to be opened out to rest on top of the three legs. The top 1 may be held in the opened out position by a spring clip 9. A case for a set of such seats is described, the top and bottom of which can be opened out to form a picnic table, folding legs being hinged to the inside of the case.
