Abstract
659,621. Testing lamps. JACOBS, H. Feb. 7, 1949, No. 3341. [Class 37] A device for testing continuity of a lamp comprises a battery in a cylindrical case, one of the exterior contacts being a ring or sleeve surrounding the casing. As shown, a signal lamp 10 is mounted in a metal ring 4 engaging an insulating case 1 containing a battery 2, spring 14 and conductor 15, a second metal ring 16 being in contact with the conductor 15. The lamp under test has its contacts pressed against the rings 4, 16 to complete the circuit of signal lamp 10. When the lamp under test is a photographic flash bulb, the lamp 10 has a high resistance.
