Abstract

657,326. Jib cranes; loading and unloading vehicles. PETERSON, S. E. Sept. 13, 1948, No. 24032. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 21, 1949.] [Class 78 (iv)] A crane for a vehicle consists of a mast and a pivoted jib built-up of telescopic members 1, 2 and 5, 6, respectively, the jib being suspended from a beam 16 on the mast by a chain 8 which divides into two parts at 8a, which are connected to the ends of the beam. The members 1, 2 and 5, 6 are locked in the desired relative position by pins 3, 7, respectively. The hoisting wire 9 is connected to a drum 11 driven through a gear-box 10.
