653,200. Capped stoppers. ROBERT'S CAPSULE STOPPER CO., Ltd., and ELFORD, G. R. Sept. 1, 1948, No. 23071. [Class 125(iii)] A cork stopper A has a metal cap B with a depending trough-like flange C the lower part of which is adapted to be pressed into the periphery of the cork without cutting. The cap may be in one part as in Figs. 9 and 10. or two parts as in Fig. 4, where the outer part D is bent beneath the inner part, or as in Fig. 7 where the outer part E terminates at the bottom of the side wall of the inner part. The cap surfaces may be knurled to grip the cork, to grip each other, and to provide a finger grip. Specifications 304,146, [Class 125(iii)], and 625,447 are referred to.
