Abstract

652,189. Snap-action switches. FIAT SOC. PER AZIONI. Oct. 4, 1948, No. 25809. Con-. vention date, Oct. 4, 1947. [Class 38(v)] [Also in Groups XI and XXXII] A lamp for illuminating the interior of a road vehicle is incorporated in the frame of a rear view mirror and is operated by a switch comprising a support to which is pivoted at 15 a lever 17 having embedded therein a hollow metal case 16 containing a spring 19 and a steel ball 18. The ball rolls on a contact strip 14 connected to an insulated current supply terminal 13 and rocking movement of the lever 17 is limited by a projection 14a on the strip 14, and a furher projecion formed on an insulated lamp supporting strip 9, the other supporting strip 10 being earthed to the vehicle frame.
