Abstract

647,151. Endless-belt conveyers. VICARS, Ltd., T. T., and NAYLOR, J. F. Oct. 17, 1947, No. 27800. [Class 78 (i)] The delivery point of a positively moving conveyer surface is reciprocated in its own plane to deliver articles alternately to the ends of a plurality of reception conveyers which lie at different points below or adjacent the delivery point. A cam 8 reciprocates a frame 3 provided with an edge 2 and a roller 4 so that edge 2 moves in the direction of the upper run of a belt 1 passing over the edge and pulley, a directionchanging roller 5 and tensioning rollers 6 compensating the movement. Biscuits are thus transferred alternately to belts 9 and 10, each of which leads to. a stacking machine 12, the latter belt through the intermediary of a pair of belts 13, 14 guided by rollers to invert the biscuits.
