[Class 122(i)] [Also in Group XXXIV] The actuator for an internally expanding brake of the type in which the shoes are spread by means of tappets 44b and 46b moved away from one another by means of a wedge member 90b on the end of a thrust rod 86b comprises a fluid pressure cylinder 66b the piston 78b of which is able to tilt laterally a limited amount so as to provide for the displacement of the end of the wedge member 90b. Specifications 605,939 and 630,380, [both in Group XXXIV], are referred to.
