Abstract

641,570. Nailing pads. PRENTON BRICK & TILE CO., Ltd., and SHARPLES, A. G. Dec. 12, 1947, No. 32734. [Class 20(iv)] A nailing pad comprises a rectangular block 12 having an undercut edge or edges 13 and a boss 14 which is received in a cavity 11 of a hollow building unit 10, the edge or edges 13 overlapping the margir of the cavity. The edges of the boss 14 are tapered and a boss may be provided on each face of the pad. In a wall, the pad is located between the ends of, or adjacent the horizontal faces of, neighbouring blocks 10. The outer edge 17 of the pad may be flush with, behind or project beyond, the faces of the blocks. Shelves, picture moulds and the like can be secured to the edges 17.
