Abstract
640,755. Electromagnetic switches; contacts. ROTAX, Ltd. June 12, 1948, No. 15877. [Class 38(v)] Upward movement of an actuating member g first brings contacts e into enagement with contacts a and then slides the contacts e sideways over the contacts a. In the form shown a pair of contact members c, d pass through apertures in the member g and are pressed apart by a spring t. The members c, d carry pins s, the ends of which enter inclined slots r in a U-shaped member q carried by the member g so that when either member c, d engages fixed contacts through upward or downward movement of the member g, further movement causes the member c or d to move sideways. The member g is fixed by straps n, o to the plunger i of an electromagnet j.
