Abstract
639,019. Wheelbarrows. KOPAL, V. Oct. 30, 1947, No. 28995. Convention date, March 25. [Class 108 (i)] A wheelbarrow comprising a double-handled chassis frame having two longitudinally extending arms connected with a wheel unit and a box-like body or container detachably mounted on said chassis frame, characterised in that the longitudinal arms are pivoted to the wheel unit at one end so as to be capable of being swung away from one another, but adapted to be connected at the opposite end by a cross-bar so as to clamp the body or container between said arms. The body 1 has pairs of legs 2, 3 and attached to its sides are ribs 8 mounting lugs 9 for engagement with the frame members 4. Said frame members form handles at one end and at the other are hinged to the axle 5 of a wheel 6. Two members 10 are fast at one end with the members 4 and are connected at their other ends by a removable pin 11, the removal of which allows the frame members 4 to be pivoted apart, thus disengaging the body.
