Abstract

637,657. Clip brackets. BARCLAY, C. W. April 17, 1947, Nos. 10164 and 22821. [Class 52 (v)] A clip bracket comprises two members 1, 2 which are engaged when the members are moved relatively to one another in a transverse direction. The base member 1 is formed with two end portions 1b having grooves 1i. The saddle member 2 has a curved portion 2a and two end portions 2b with flanges 2e which engage in the grooves 1i. The flanges 2e may have projections 2h which engage in recesses in the grooves 1i. The transverse root of the groove 1i may be tapered. The base 1 has an aperture 1h for the insertion of a screw to hold it in position. Ribs may be provided.on the saddle member to provide additional gripping means. Packing elements 13 with spigots and sockets 13a 13b may be provided to align clips used for securing long lengths of pipes. Means are described for fixing the clips to a concrete wall by providing a serrated bar which is clamped to a girder and is provided with holes for fixing the pipe clips. In the first Provisional Specification reference is made to wedge or partially conical shoulders on the base which engage complementary grooves in the saddle.
