635,888. Seat suspensions. BROWN TRACTORS, Ltd., D., and ASHFIELD, H. E. Oct. 15, 1948, No. 26824. [Class 52 (i)] A suspension for a tractor seat a comprises an inverted U-shaped bracket b, b<SP>1</SP> secured to the seat, a U-shaped bracket c, c<SP>1</SP> secured to the vehicle frame, a pair of parallel links e pivoted at each side to the two brackets, friction dampers h arranged on the pivots of the links e some or all of the dampers h being fitted with spring washers i to vary the degree of friction according to the weight of the driver, a cross bar f connecting the upstanding legs c<SP>1</SP> of the bracket c, c<SP>1</SP> and one or more spiral springs g arranged between the brackets b, b<SP>1</SP> and c, c<SP>1</SP>. A stop is provided which may be cushioned.
