Abstract
633,535. Cable terminals. ANTROBUS, W. E., and SOUTHPORT ELECTRICAL SERVICES, Ltd. Jan. 24, 1948, No. 2196. [Class 38 (i)] A connector, preferably for a battery post e comprises a non-ferrous metal sleeve a split at b and provided with a lead covered adjustable clip f to secure it on the post, the sleeve being covered with a corrosion resisting material d and is at right-angles to a cable socket c. The cable g is soldered or brazed in the socket which is then covered with insulating tape h. The mouth of the sleeve is chamfered at a<1> and may rest on a non-corrosive washer j around the post. In a modification (Fig. 5, not shown), the cable socket does not extend from the, sleeve. Specification 602,989 is referred to.
