Abstract
633,421. Casting concrete in situ ; walls. CUCKOW, A. E. E. Dec. 2, 1946, No. 35579. [Classes 20 (ii) and 20 (iv)] A building construction comprises an assemblage of shaped units such as 3, Fig. 1, and panels 2, or combination of unitary panels and shaped members, secured together by bolts &c. so as to form permanent self-supporting shuttering for concrete which is cast into the shaped units, or units and panels, where required, e.g. in the units 1 to constitute posts, or in the units 3 to constitute a coping or string course bonded with the posts. The panels project within the shaped units to bond with the concrete cast in the units. Reinforcement may be provided in the concrete. The panels may be single or double, with or without concrete filling. Shaped units consisting of an asbestos-cement skin 12, Fig. 6, with welded wire reinforcement 13 attached on the inside, may be used. Specifications 276,815, [Class 87 (i)], and 345,617 are referred to in the Provisional Specification.
