633,375. Inductive control circuits. MILSOM, F. R., FURZEHILL LABORATORIES, Ltd., and SMITH & SONS (ENGLAND), Ltd., S. April 29, 1947, No. 11505. [Classes 38 (ii) and 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVII] A system for controlling the relative magnitude of two voltages applied to a motor or other load includes two reactors each with a coil fed with rectified current and with a D.C. energized coil to aid or oppose the magnetization due to the pulsating currents. As shown, cores 18-21 carry coils 29-32 connected through rectifiers 33-36 to the A.C. supply 16, 17 and motor windings 10, 11, 12 and the direction of rotation of the motor is reversed by adjusting the relative potential of motor terminals 14, 15 by adjusting the magnetization of the cores 18-21 by selective relative energization of coils 26, 27 fed with D.C.
