Abstract

633,299. Fusible cut-outs. PARSONS, Ltd., C. H., and HANDLEY, G. B. Feb. 19, 1948, No. 4878. [Class 38 (i)] A contact for a cartridge fuse bridge-carrier is formed from a blank 10 having extending blades 11 joined by an attachment yoke 12 to one side of which extend two wings 13 which are separated at 14, 15 from the yoke 12. The blades 11 are bent to face each other and the wings 13 are formed part-circular to receive a fuse contact, Fig. 5, the yoke 12 being flattened to serve as a point of attachment to the bridge-carrier. The wings 13 may be reinforced by a part-circular spring clip (Figs. 6, 7, not shown). A hole is provided in the carrier so that the fuse may be easily ejected (Fig. 8, not shown). The size of the blades 11 and the spacing of the cooperating contacts on a fuse board may be varied according to the fuse rating.
