Abstract
632,265. Tables. STRACHAN, T. B. Sept. 2, 1947, No. 24171. [Class 52 (iii)] A stand or table which can be collapsed to a lower support position has upper legs D pivotally connected at A to the table top and at B to lower legs E pivotally connected at C to the base of the stand. Small recessed trays G are positioned at the lower ends of the upper legs D. In the upper position the upper and lower legs are in line but in the lower position which is reached by pulling out the pivots B, the upper legs and their attached trays become horizontal. In a modification the table top is rotatable relative to its base and in another form triangular leaves are hinged to the edges of the table top and to the legs so that in the lower support position an enlarged square-topped table is provided. The table may be constructed in wood, metal or synthetic plastics.
