Abstract

632,173. Spectacles. VIGANO, G. Oct. 23, 1946, No..31525. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 23, 1946.] [Class 97 (i)] A pair of folding spectacles have temples formed of two portions 15, 8 of unequal lengths and of which the shorter portions 15 are hinged at 11 to the spectacle rims 1, 2. The longer portions 8 are attached to the shorter portions 15 by pivot pins 12 extending axially of the temples. In addition, a spring 17 is provided for preventing accidental relative relation of the two portions of each temple and each of the shorter portions 15 is provided with a wedgeshaped surface 14 which is engaged with a wedge-shaped surface 13 of the longer portion 8. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 also describes a pair of folding spectacles wherein the two lens rims are joined by a bridge pin which includes a device similar to that securing the two portions 15, 8 of a temple so that the rims may be relatively rotated through 180 degrees and also includes a hinge so that the two rims may be superposed one on the other. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
