Abstract
329,491. Eglinton, W. D. May 2, 1929. Spectacles and eyeglasses.-Folding spectacles, eyeglasses, &c., are provided with frames a, b having hinged or pivoted placquets a<1>, b<1>, the placquets being arranged so that during the fold. ing of the rims one over the other one placquet a<1> will tilt the other placquet b<1> out of the plane of the first and into the plane of the second, enabling the two rims to be folded closely together. One of the placquets a<1> 'is pivoted horizontally and the other placquet b<1> is pivoted vertically. The bridge piece d is hinged to the frames in a manner which permits the tilting of the placquets during the folding operation.
