Abstract
631,559. Electric lighting fittings. LUCAS, Ltd., J., and FLAY, J. R. Nov. 1, 1947, No. 29224. [Classes 75(ii) and 75(iv)] In an electric lamp of the kind comprising a hollow body part k having an open front, a reflector a housed within the body part and a front ring or bezel b carrying a glass or other transparent or translucent window h, the reflector a and bezel b are integral with one another, and the window h is carried in a separate ring g. As shown the ring g has tongues i which pass through slots in an annular recess formed in the bezel b and are bent over for securing the ring g in position, a plastic or rubber sealing ring j being placed in the recess to provide a water tight joint. The bezel b has a peripheral bead n which engages a lip m on the. body k and is retained in position by a claw o attached to the body k and passing through a gap in the lip m. A bulb holder d is fitted over a cylindrical rear extension c of the reflector and retained in position by a split ring f carried therein, the ring being crimped to provide radial projections passing through apertures in the extension c and holder d.
