Abstract

629,803. Furniture joints. FORSTER, L. G. Dec. 5, 1947, No. 32192. [Class 52 (ii)] In a swinging garden seat in which the end frames comprising legs 1 are connected by a cross bar 2 from which the seat 5 is suspended the connection consists of a flat wedge-shaped plate 8 on each end of the top bar 2 engaging a flattened correspondingly shaped socket 9 secured to an end frame by means of a plate 12. The lower end of the plate 8 is provided with a hook 10 for the suspension chains 11. A canopy frame 6 may be provided. The inclination of the seat may be varied by adjusting the chains 11 on the hooks 10.
